Did you know that there are people in the world struggling to get water? We we have the solution to this problem! Ozark Water Projects! Ozark Water Projects was founded in 2010 by Karla Allen and her husband and it is a non profit organization that builds water systems in areas that lack water access.
Haiti
One of the areas that Ozark Water Projects helps is Haiti. Lets take a closer look at their environment.
Here are some Haitian girls fetching water. An average Haitian girl will spend an average of eight hours a day gathering water and four miles walking to and from the water source,
The water that the children collect is usually contaminated and can cause diseases such as Cholera, Guinea, Typhoid, and Dysentery, which are deadly.
Sadly, due to these diseases and poor health, more than %10 of Haitian children will die before the age of five.
 The solution is Ozark Water Projects! Just donate any type of shoes that are in wearable condition and that have the soles attached. What Ozark Water Projects does is they collect shoes and then sell them for 35 cents a pound. The money they collected from the shoes then goes towards building and repairing water systems for areas that lack water access.
So what is the solution?
Even though Ozark Water Projects faces language, travel, and money obstacles, they still thrive to meet their goal.

Our focus is to provide water through the most effective means possible for communities in need.¨ -Ozark Water Projects
