PALM OIL?
IS 
It is one of Malaysia greatest treasure! 
 OIL PALM ORIGINATES FROM Eastern Region and The Oil River Protectorate, Nigeria, West Africa. 
Palm oil trees were introduced to Malaya by the British government in early 1870sThe first commercial palm oil cultivation was done in Selangor in 1917 at Tennamaran Estate.
Oil palm plantations currently occupy over 5 million hectares, while palm oil accounts for almost 6% of the Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
Today, Malaysia is the second largest producer of palm oil in the world, which accounts for 29% of world palm oil production

Oil palm is crucial to feed more than 3 billion people in over 150 countries. It is the most      consumed vegetable oil in the world, with 60.96 million metric tonnes consumed in 2016

Other objectives are :
Through DPN3, it benefits all Palm Oil Producer by maximising agriculture's contribution to national income and export earnings as well as maximising income of producers
With the global demand for palm oil and Malaysia as one of the largest palm oil producers, the industry is growing as a reliable source of economic profits and development for the country itself.
