INTRODUCTION
An automobile's cooling system is the collection of parts and substances (coolants) that work together to maintain the engine temperature at optimal levels. Comprising many different components such as water pump, coolant, a thermostat etc.  the system enables smooth and efficient functioning of the engine at the same time protecting it from damage.
COMPONENTS AND FUNCTION OF COOLING SYSTEM
-RADIATOR
FUNCTION
Radiator used for coolant path where it go to around the engine block, radiator also are the heat exchangers
OPERATION
The radiator works by passing your coolant throught thin metal fins, Which allow the heat to flow to the air outside your car much more easily
advantages
Engine is less noisy as compared with air cooled engines, as it has water for damping noise
-THERMOSTAT
FUNCTION
To allow the engine to reach its normal working temperatre as quickly as possible
OPERATION
By staying closed and trapping coolant around the cylinders until it has reached normal working temperature
advantages
It allows the engine to heat up to its optimum temperature as quickly as possible
-WATER PUMP
FUNCTION
Use to pump coolant through the cooling system
OPERATION
When the engine is started, the water pump connected to italso begins to pump the coolant around the engine cylinder from the lower radiator tank into the coolant passages
advantages
The water is that the water is circulated in direct porportion to temperature
-PRESSURE CAP
FUNCTION
Keeps the cooling systems sealed outside contaminants
OPERATION
When the pressure reaches 15 psi, the pressure pushes the valve open, allowing coolant to escape from the cooling system
advantages
Allows pressre to build up in the cooling system and will eventually vent that pressure to the overflow bottle as the need arises
-COOLING FAN
FUNCTION
The cooling fan is designed to move air through the radiator when the vehicle is at slower speeds or stopped
OPERATION
The motor is activated when the engine temperature reaches a specified amount and will continue to operate until the temperature drops below a certain amount

The radiator fan has an important job in the engine compartment. It can push air through the radiator core or pull it through
-TEMPERATURE SENSOR
FUNCTION
To measure the temperature of the coolant in the cooling system
OPERATION
The coolant sensor detects the drop in electrical resistance and emits a voltage to the resistor, a process that is completed in the space of a millisecond
advantages
It sefeguards overhating of the engines used in cars and other motor vehicles
-HOSES
FUNCTION
It carries the coolant through the engine at an optimal temperature
OPERATION
The upper hose connects to the top of the engine, and the lower hose is connected to the bottom of the radiator and to the pump of the engine
advantages
It has a higher operating temperature range and more flexible and resilient
