We care about your wellbeing and work experiences here at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

So what is GloSTaRs? 
We aim to improve the retention and wellbeing of staff whilst supporting their development at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

A network led by Peer Support and Volunteer Guardians that is there for pastoral support, guidance, and signposting.

So what is a GloSTaRs Guardian? 
Early Career Guardians
These Volunteer Guardians offer peer support to staff that are at the start of their careers.

•Newly Registered Nurses
•Registered Nursing Associates
•Internationally Educated Nurses
•Newly Registered Allied Health Professionals

GloSTaRs Guardians
These Volunteer Guardians offer expertise for different career pathways, and can provide formal and informal guidance, coaching, restorative clinical supervision, and signposting potential opportunities or continued professional development advice.

The Professional Development Team
We aim to build nurturing cultures that enable staff to feel supported in their work environment.

Facilitating Action Learning Sets
How does the Professional Development team support the GloSTaRs Network?
Preceptorship engagement (STaR sessions)
Pastoral support in clinical practice
Restorative Clinical Supervision 
Support with internal transfer opportunities 
Career and development signposting 
Support all GloSTaRs Guardians 
This badge is given to staff members who are undertaking the preceptorship programme within the trust.
