El tutor on-line debe elaborar sus propios contenidos y materiales de estudio.

Es fundamental que el rol del docente virtual se desarrollen con las herramientas con las que se posibiliten un acercamiento con los estudiantes y permitan mejor comunicación, facilitando el proceso de aprendizaje-enseñanza.

El acompañamiento es clave  
Para ello el tutor debe ser: 
- Motivador.
-Comprometido con sus estudiantes.
-Puntual.
- Preciso.
-Coherente.
-Asertivo(a)
