Discover tips and tricks for searching vendors and the new vendor search map. 
How to Search for Vendors in Homeschool Hub
Vendor Search Features
• Search by Vendor Name or ID
• Search by City or County
• Search by Vendor Type (Product or Service)
• Search by Keyword or Category
• Search by Zipcode with a Radius and a MAP!

important things to note
Vendor Search
• Vendor Search requires a Login to Homeschool Hub.
• A vendor may appear outside of our service area. In those situations, services are provided virtually.
• We are working to increase the search capabiltiies to make searching for a vendor easier for families.
•This example will not include any real vendors, only sample data.

Reminders About Services
• Service Vendors must be approved prior to services.
• A service vendor is a buisness that provides direct interaction with students (in-person or virtually).
• Product vendors do not need to be approved, items are carefully reviewed by Homeschool Teachers.
•New vendors may be suggested at any time
Vendor Search Tutorial
Everything starts with Homeschool Hub

STEP ONE
Log In to Homeschool Hub
Tips & Tricks:
The navigation bar provides all sections of the Homeschool Hub on the left-hand side. 
To expand the navigation bar options you can click the button with the three lines. The list will add a written description along with the list of icons/images. 
STEP TWO
Find the Approved Vendors Section
Tips & Tricks:
Approved Vendors should be available with a little shop icon. 
Click on “Approved Vendors” or the shop icon. 
Once you click on Approved Vendors, a list of approved vendors will appear.

Every selection will narrow down the list of our approved vendors based on the search criteria you have selected.  
STEP THREE
Use the Search Options to Narrow the Vendor List
Tips & Tricks
You have the ability to search by vendor type (product or services) as well as more specifics like Name, Vendor ID, City, Zipcode, Keyword, Categories, and Website. 
We will work specifically with Service Vendors for this example.
Use the dropdown options to select “Service Only” as our Vendor Type. 
Select the “Search” drop-down option and select Zipcode.
This is helpful if you want to find a vendor close to where you are or if you are looking for something specific and do not mind going further for a specific vendor. 
STEP FOUR
Search for Service Vendors by Zipcode
Tips & Tricks
Then, type a zipcode into the search box and press “enter” or use the search button (the magnifying glass icon).
The list of approved service vendors with that zipcode will populate for you
We now have the option to extend our search by radius to determine how far from the selected zipcode we would like to search. 
Select the “View Map” checkbox to see a map version of the approved vendor list.
The map feature is only available for service vendors
STEP FIVE
 Use the Map to Search for Service Vendors
Tips & Tricks:
You will have the option to zoom in and out of the map and drag the map around.

You will be able to look at different areas with approved vendors listed on the map.
The search radius and/or zipcode can continue to be adjusted as you search for approved vendors.
In addition, you will also be able to search by other options including Vendor Name and Keyword. 
This example shows us Service Vendors within 10 miles of 90620 with the keyword search Karate.
