Dun & Bradstreet: ״Powtoon's become a staple of our company's security culture”
Creating Organic Company Culture
How Dun & Bradstreet began creating Powtoons to train their employees but ended up creating an organic company culture that connects deeply with every team member.
Dun & Bradstreet
In 1841, Lewis Tappan planted the seeds that would sprout into Dun & Bradstreet. Originally created to provide a reliable credit rating network for merchants, today Dun & Bradstreet helps “customers and partners accelerate growth and improve performance through the power of data and analytics.”
Dealing in data since 1841?! Talk about being ahead of the curve. It’s no wonder they were searching for a solution like Powtoon to more effectively keep their teams well trained and up-to-date.

The Goal
As Dun & Bradstreet’s Information Security Director, Dalia Hamzeh needs her team to stay on top of the ever-changing data security landscape. She was looking for a tool that could help her make it easy to train her employees in the latest compliance and security standards, without requiring tons of time, money, or technical or design skills.
The Road to Awesomeness
Dalia and her team created a spate of training videos and decided to use one Powtoon character throughout.
“Employees really connected to the Picto character. They call him Ted and he appears in many of the company’s Powtoons.“
The Results
How did Dalia know that Ted was making an impact at Dun & Bradstreet? She only needed to see how her employees reacted. They took to him so well, they were soon making him their unofficial team mascot:
“He is on stickers throughout the office, poster size cutouts, awards we made to give out, and someone even dressed up as him on Halloween!“
